I am currently enrolled at the University of Melbourne and in my penultimate year of study (Year 2 Semester 2). I am a commerce student, majoring in Accounting and Finance. I was previously from Monash College where I attained a Diploma in Commerce with a WAM of 80.4.
I am an international student hailing from Singapore. I have lived in 4 different countries, namely Hong Kong, China and Australia and I am able to engage in conversational Mandarin. Having experienced different cultures, I had the opportunity to connect with a wide range of people from different backgrounds.
My most recent work-experience was an internship with Deloitte Southeast Asia, where I had the opportunity to work with the esteemed Corporate Finance team. I was involved with research regarding Mergers and Acquisition work. I also was a former sales associate of Sambag Sydney, where I assisted with the daily operations of the boutique.
At University, I am the Events Director for the student club, Singapore Student's society, where I carry out my role in heading the planning of weekly events for its 400 members. I am also an active member of Banking on Women and FMAA.
Through my past and current experiences, I have picked up interpersonal and organisational skills. I am able to independently handle my own work but I am also able to harness the synergies of teamwork. I am enthusiastic and a keen-learner and I hope to value-add to my community in whatever capacity I can.
