I am Simarpreet, Master of Analytics student at RMIT University. I have completed my bachelor’s degree from BITS Pilani in the field of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering in 2017. During my bachelor’s degree, I have worked on projects like statistical analysis of wind energy data, Energy conservation survey and wind farm modelling which exposed me to wide range of Analytical tools and statistical packages. I also worked as an Operations Analyst at Browntape Technologies, an eCommerce company in Goa, India with a focus on sales data analysis, market research and product management as part of Work Integrated Learning Program of BITS Pilani post which I was offered a full time role at the company alongside which I did online courses on R programming. Through my work, I have gained excellent skills in data analysis and statistical modelling.
I have also completed various online courses in the field like Data Scientist's toolbox, R programming, MySQL etc. I am currently a member of Student Staff Consultative Committee representing my program (Analytics) for the student body. I have been involved in various volunteer activities in India like bird conservation drives, beach cleanup drives, snake awareness workshops etc.
