About Alan
In one word, I would describe myself as ‘multi-dimensional’. For a spirit animal, I would like to say a goose. My friends would probably describe me as a nerd.
To stay involved in my community, I volunteer at Oaktree as a Training and Development Officer, and at the Australian Army Cadets as a Training and Operations Officer. I also have previous volunteer experience as a Peer Mentor for the In2Science program.
Celebrating my community involvement, I was awarded the Julia Gillard Award for Citizenship 2015 and Long Tan Leadership and Teamwork Award 2015.
I've been able to grow my skills at my employment experiences with BubbSoc (as a Bubble Soccer Coordinator), the Fit to Drive Foundation (as a Peer Facilitator and Workshop Leader), and Village Cinemas (in Customer Service).
