Growing up on Phillip Island I am always thinking of the environmental impacts of our actions, and how to communicate messages such that people feel empowered to make changes, not just doomed by the facts.
With an education in the food sciences, I have learnt that there is not enough clear communication between science and the public, and this has helped drive my career goal of science outreach.
