About Navya

I’m studying a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at Monash with a passion to understand the motivations and building blocks of the human mind. Furthermore my studies have allowed me to develop my critical, context and data analysis skills, preparing me for my honours year and post graduate studies.
I currently work as a Medical Secretary at the Victorian Neuro and Ortho Rehab Services (as of October 2017) therefore I have gained invaluable experience in dealing with Human behaviour (disabilities for example) as well as Human Resources (dealing with fellow employees). It has allowed me to interact with clients often disabled or elderly (gained extensive Aged and Disability Care as a result).
I volunteer with the Red Cross (as of March 2018) the TeleChat program, involving talking to socially isolated individuals to help make them feel wanted and included, effectively making a positive impact in the community.
I have completed the Bronze Duke of Edinborough award in 2013 which involved a criteria of community service. I completed 3 months of Community Service in the Ashwood School, assisting teachers and students with disabilities, developing my interest in human behaviour.
In December 2018 I plan to go overseas with company AIESEC for global volunteering to assist trauma affected victims in Hungary. This experience will give me a perspective towards people and their struggles as well as give me direction towards my career path.
