Hello! My name is Lola Sutcliffe and I am currently in my second year of university at RMIT. I study Professional Communications majoring in journalism and politics. I love writing and am always looking for opportunities to expand my experience in my field. I would love to advance my skills and to learn more about the business and the different pathways my degree may lead. I am an avid reader and passionate about all aspects of journalism and subsequently the political world, which I have learnt is more complex and involves more than just the public figures seen on the news. The ever changing and fast paced nature of this industry entices me and I am actively seeking for real world involvement and practical knowledge. I have seen aspects of the publishing world via MUP (Melbourne University Publishing) as an intern during my high school break and I learnt about how to navigate a professional office environment. I have also been employed at The Langham Hotel in Southbank for the past two years as a waitress. I worked in their 5 star restaurant which further enhanced my social skills and developed my ability to work fast and well under pressure. I hope to be considered for any career opportunities and jobs within the communications realm and would love to be part of a team as I am an enthusiastic person and a hard worker and would appreciate a new challenge!
