About Tony

Currently twenty-one years old, Tony is an undergraduate student studying the Bachelor of Environments and double majoring in Property, Urban Design and Planning at The University of Melbourne.
As an Australia Day Ambassador, Tony's ambition is to create a social impact through community engagement. His additional studies at The University of Tasmania and Charles Sturt University has equipped him with extensive knowledge in the extra-curriculum fields of I.T, economics, marketing and health.
Tony is a youth advocate for multicultural affairs, urban development, community cohesion and social entrepreneurship. Throughout his career as a student, Tony has undertaken diverse volunteer leadership roles as a youth advisor.
His current projects include UNI DiscussionSpace and opportUNIty, a platform with over 15,000 members engaging in discussions relating to tertiary studies and course advice. As a Media and Communications Coordinator at Architects For Peace, Tony designs and manages social media content to over 27,000 followers on a regular basis.
As a highly motivated and multilingual individual, Tony has partaken on global opportunities, such as being a selected recipient of the United States Youth Leadership Program, and actively involved in not for profit organisations such as InsightSTEM Inc, Strive Student Health Initiative, Centre for Multicultural Youth, AIESEC in Melbourne & Melbourne City Mission.
Tony has also demonstrated his passion and knowledge for global issues, attending global conferences such as the 2015 International Student Energy Summit and being award recipients for the 2016 UGHCC, 2016 CIS Competition, 2016 ACYA BLC VIC and 2016 Melbourne Climathon Challenge.
Tony’s strives to become an established urban planner and aims to enhance the liveability, resilience and interconnectedness of cities in Australia.
