CURRENTLY
Having completed a Fine Art (Sculpture and Spatial Practice) degree and Furniture Making diploma, I developed an interest in creating prosthetics and orthotics and am currently studying in this field at Latrobe University. I have a strong interest to work where a wide variety of skills and knowledge can be applied at an integrated level. My strengths are attentiveness and dedicated ethic to work with a respect to the others through a highly developed communication skills.SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Advanced skill set in Visual Arts, Industrial Design and Sculpture using various mediums such as timber, plastic, fabric and steel.
  • Voluntary experience working with adults and children who have intellectual and/or physical disabilities. This includes assisting clients to use public transport and utilise public facilities.
  • Capable of suggesting any improvements to be applied in the environmental and operational components through objective observation and creative thinking.
  • Ability to observe any potential safety issues for self and others who may or may not have a disability, in outdoor and indoor settings.
  • Ability to enhance the social engagement of people with a disability, and assist them in reaching their personal goals based on an understanding of their special needs and physical capability.

Communicating with manager and staff to have an efficient production process. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Managing stock, materials and consumables. 2017 - Current Yooralla Supporting clients who have intellectual and/or physical disabilities to be engaged in small group based recreational programs. Introduced to clients with a wide range of disabilities and age groups, including children. Assisting disability support workers to run programs in a safe environment both in the classroom and outdoors. Communicating closely with staff for any concerns of clients to enhance their social engagement and goals.

Observing clinicians and technicians work in the prosthetic and orthotic team to offer patient-centred care to a wide range of patients who may have different needs and preferences. Assisting technicians to disassemble device components in the prosthetic and orthotic workshop environment. Experiencing working in a multidisciplinary team with other health professionals, such as physiotherapists, social workers and occupational therapists.
