About Santana
I am a Media and Communications student at QUT, majoring in Public Relations. I have a fun outgoing personality and consider myself a joy to work with! I love to be challenged and am no stranger to hard work and meeting deadlines.
I seek to begin my career whilst studying by establishing myself in a position that could potentially allow for career progression or offer new skills where I can further develop myself. I do my best to create a pleasant work environment for those around me and thrive in social situations and team environments. My time as a student at QUT has given me the ability to think critically and approach situations from multiple perspectives to find ideal and solutions. I have experience in most mainstream social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube, as well as very proficient computer skills.
I have previous customer service experience in Administration, Hospitality, and Retail, where I developed skills in client consultation (via interacting with customers over email and phone), conflict resolution, utilised CRM software to effectively manage client data, and function productively in both independent and collaborative team environments.
In addition, my prior role as a customer service consultant at a high-end menswear store gave me experience in problem solving, making effective on-the-spot decisions, and maintaining/upholding high-levels of self-motivation. My strong work ethic and resolve in high-pressure situations led to my assuming the role of Interim Manager for multiple month-long periods. Further, my previous role as a Chess teacher for classes of approx. 15 primary-aged students at various schools, helped me to develop a high-level of patience, a calm temperament, and approachability, as well as experience in adapting to unique and dynamic environments.
