About Ajay
I'm studying masters from RMIT University in Sustainable Energy Engineering and have bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
As an international student, I realized the importance of getting customer service experience quite early. As a result, I volunteered during my third week in Melbourne for a three-day event “Inside Retail Live 2018” at MCEC, in the capacity of a customer service agent, for which I received a letter of recommendation from the CEO of Octomedia.
Since August 2018, I've worked as event staff/customer service with Event-Crew Australia and worked at the recent 'VidCon Australia 2018' at MCEC. I’ve also been working at RMIT as a Peer Facilitator (casual) for the ‘Bringing in the Bystander’ workshops aimed at spreading awareness about violence and sexual harm against women since July, 2018. In April 2018, I started working as a customer service personnel (casual) for MA Services Group at GMHBA Stadium, Geelong for the AFL games. This role involves interacting face-to-face with the patrons and the public during the Footy games. Understanding and solving the different problems people face during a game which has the presence of thousands of spectators is challenging, exciting, satisfying and a big confidence booster.
I admire Australia’s diversity, and believe that being involved in customer service makes one more understanding and respectful towards this diversity. I have a passion for customer service jobs in me and this love is the reason why I travel to GMHBA Stadium at Geelong from Melbourne every other weekend, and the reason for deciding to become a ‘Mates at RMIT’ mentor as well as a ‘Trip Leader’ at RMIT.
I love being a customer service personnel as I get to help people by solving problems and that brings satisfaction to me. And I cherish my field of study - Sustainable Energy, more than anything.
