About Sandra
The Heathcote Community Children’s Services Association is a not for profit – community owned and led – organisation, registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.
In 2012, a Childcare Needs Assessment clearly identified a need for child care in Heathcote - though the need was significant, the necessary resources seemed to be out of reach.
In November 2015, Mandalay Resources engaged the Community Child Care Association to undertake a feasibility process. Key findings were: • Long day care required • Difficulty accessing child care, specialist, allied health and other services • Heathcote and district is disadvantaged and vulnerable • Short and long term specialist needs not met.
To overcome the situation, HSSCA is leading the project for the creation of the new Heathcote Children's Hub.
