I was born in the Kimberley, Western Australia and grew up in the sugar cane country of North Queensland. With family branching all corners of Australia, I have had the privilege of many new and challenging experiences throughout my life. I have seen prosperity and drought on family farms in NSW, I have visited every Australian state except SA and I have worked in remote WA over my summer holidays since the age of 17.
Growing up I always had a passion for creative arts and following high school I moved to Brisbane to study drama. Media and communications piqued my interest and after completing just a few units from this study area, I decided that this was the career I wanted to pursue.
I have participated in various arts festivals and eisteddfods allowing me to work with some renowned arts companies including Townsville Theatre Company, Theatre iNQ, the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) and the Sydney Dance Company. Aside from my path in creative arts, I have also had the opportunity to undertake many volunteer positions, including assisting with the activities, fundraising and publicity of community groups and as an ambassador in my local water festival celebrations. These roles were unknowingly the beginning of my interest in media, communications and publicity.
My family have always tried to instil independence in me and have always encouraged me to pursue my ambitions. If my upbringing has taught me anything it’s that life is not to be wasted. You should aspire to achieve your goals, live life to the fullest, grab opportunities with both hands and have the confidence to take on any challenge.
