About Dylan
I am a personable and enthusiastic Deakin University Arts graduate, with majors in Public Relations and Politics. I am eager to develop and expand my professional experience from a variety of sources to help me identify my true calling.
I have proven abilities in leadership, written and verbal persuasive communications, organisation, project management, and effective work as part of a team or individually. Personal emphasis is placed on, and great pleasure is taken from building positive relationships with all those around me.
Professionally, I seek a position which allows me first and foremost to communicate and interact with other people, be they external stakeholders or the colleagues around me. I relish variety, new opportunities to learn and experience, challenges, trust and the ability to prove my worth. I hope to find a position from which I can observe my work having direct positive consequences for the organisation and its stakeholders. I value corporate social responsibility, and understand understand how invaluable this is for organisational success.
Personally, I am a staunch advocate for democracy and the freedom of institutions which facilitate it. I am deeply interested in the political landscape, and how the media shapes public discourse for better or for worse. I feel it is the individual citizens duty to proactively participate in democracy if this political system is to continue to flourish and adapt to the pressures of a globalising world. The importance of progression is paramount to me, and I would love to impact Australian politics, and the discourse which surrounds it.
In my spare time, I find pleasure in nature and activity. I freedive and spearfish to experience another world of life and colour, a constant challenge to push myself further and achieve goals. I hike and climb to clear my mind and observe the beauty of nature. With my friends I can channel my competitive nature, playing futsal and frisbee to release some of my plentiful energy.
