Hi there! My name's My and I'm currently an international student at Western Sydney University. After finishing high school, I was selected for the Vice-Chancellor's Academic Excellence Undergraduate Scholarships at Western Sydney University, so that's where I began my journey to Australia. I chose Information System majoring in Big Data to pursue my dream of becoming a woman leader in the data field. Back in high school, the world of numbers and statistics really engrossed me. It amazed me how people extract value from numbers and information. This beautiful art of understanding data and developing insights made me determined to be a part of this world. Living in a developing country whose agriculture still plays a major role in the economy, many people still believe that tech woman is something far-fetched as a technical job is more of a male job. I want to inspire girls who desire to pursue a tech career as I know they are facing the same prejudice as I do. Beyond that, I want to actually change lives. Mahatma Gandhi said: "Be the change you wish to see in the world".This quote strongly resonates with me.l love Data Science as it enables us to solve major issues in the modern world ranging from privacy threats to detection of terrorism. I want to work towards bigger causes and really have an impact on people's lives. My goal for the future is to drive myself to always be a change maker.
