I have lived and worked in the UK, Germany and Hong Kong, and am now based in Sydney.
After graduating my Bachelor of Arts at Edinburgh University, I spent a year in Chengdu, China, after which I worked at a school of English in Munich, Germany. I loved helping the staff and students out with any technical problems and began studying computing in my free time. This led to my receiving a full European Social Fund scholarship to do an MSc in Computing and Information Technology. I subsequently worked as a programmer and test analyst for a number of years in Dusseldorf and London until my family relocated to Hong Kong.
Recently I returned to university to do a Grad Cert in order to update my skills and learn about data science, big data and offensive security.
Outside of work I sing with Sydney Philharmonia Choirs and volunteer at my local public primary school teaching Primary Ethics.
