About Sara

I am a proactive & goal driven student in the penultimate year of my Bachelors degree.
My array of skills are primarily formed through my academic background, Bachelor of Laws/Bachelors of Commerce, Human Resources (major). My aim is to constantly expand on my skill set and actively seek new opportunities in the workforce, particularly legal/human resources sectors which focus on workplace law, employment relations, recruiting, advising advocacy and negotiations.
Currently I am working within the legal sector at Law & Co as a Law Clerk, where I am constantly gaining new legal knowledge, alongside marketing and sales skills.
Further more, I have previously completed internships, casual/part-time work in various roles:
  1. Legal/Marketing/Sales intern, Law & Co: This experience exposed me to 1 month full-time hands on experience through a rotation of marketing, sales and conveyancing duties. My key responsibilities include the following; identifying and contacting leads and converting them to clients. Alongside reviewing and creating contracts of sale and assisting with legal tasks.
  2. Legal intern,Job watch: Developed my ability to provide sound legal information in regards to workplace law concerns and communicate directly with clients/callers. This is where I developed my strong passion for employee relations and employment law. I also was responsible for having to research relevant legislation and case law, provide legal information predominately regarding Unfair Dismissal, General Protections, Discrimination and Bullying, manage and document calls and provide other relevant employment law services.
  3. HR Intern, Job Watch: Previously completed a HR internship at AMRICK broadened an array of my recruiting, management, organisation and interviewing skills. Throughout this internship, my key responsibilities included the following: Drafting and posting job advertisements, assessing and screening job applicants, participation in interviews, coordination, input and management of personnel data, filing, reviewing and amending audits, documenting new starters files, communicating with the ATO, and following policies and procedures.

Furthermore, I have had vast experience in the hospitality and retail industries. These casual and part-time employment experiences have enhanced my customer service and communication skills.
Aside from previous employment and voluntary commitments I have also travelled and studied overseas for a 6 month period. Studying abroad in Sweden provided me with endless opportunities which developed my academic knowledge and personal skills immensely. Subsequently, I have enhanced skills which I strongly believe are transferable to any workplace.
In my spare time I value health and wellbeing, along side assist other university level students through conducting various weekly tutorials.
