About Nisha
A MBA Candidate with a undergraduate degree majoring in Human Resource Management, both from RMIT University. I have undertaken a vast range of course including that of those specialising in HR and management as well as design thinking, strategy, management of technology & innovation, business research design, finance, business consulting, operations management, leadership & management and a study abroad course, called Business Globalization at the University of Maryland.
My professional work experience includes that of a HR Assistant for the time of one year, where I was able to secure a position with the company after completing a 3 month unpaid HR internship. The company is called DTS Group, and is a charity telemarketing firm who specializes in charity fundraising. My tasks involved, assisting the HR Manager in the planning, allocation and fulfillment of human resources, including management and call centre fundraisers. I was also entailed to develop, implement and continually improve employee retention and maximize practices, to ensure staff reach their full potential.
I have also worked part-time in the hospitality industry for the past four years, as a team leader for a local takeaway chain, called Wok'd Gourmet Chinese. I am responsible for overseeing day to day operations of the store and to create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
Also, since embarking on my MBA I have joined the RMIT MBA Student Association voluntarily, as the Marketing Manager. This is a voluntary position with the association run by students to engage and enhance the overall student experience whilst providing opportunities to partake in skills based and social events.
In 2016, I had the privilege of joining a online magazine, called the Australia Times, as part of a newly established Human Resources Team to help coordinate the contributions for all the various magazines and recruit new writers, photographers and editors.
My volunteering efforts also extend to a Youth Group as part of the Hindu Society of Victoria where i devote my time helping run and organise charity events with others.
