I am a 4th year Civil Engineering student who loves the problem solving aspect that is required of an engineer. I believe that being challenged and then overcoming those challenges is what makes life interesting and worth living.I know that employees not only look for engineers that are book smart but they also need to have personalities that are suited for working closely, in a team with other people. Last year, I spent 9 months in Spain doing an internship as a language assistant of English. I lived with a Spanish family and went to a high school everyday to provide help with English. I have discovered the joy of being curious, forming relationships and being open minded. I believe that these skills are also necessary for long term employment.
