About Jonathan
Hi, my name is Jonathan Handojo. I am currently in my final semester of studying Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) - Civil and Infrastructure. I love playing chess and solving Sudoku puzzles as a hobby which further enhances my problem-solving skills.
Previously, I participated in the Metro Scratch Space Challenge where I worked in a group of five people working on a challenge to minimise unplanned disruptions. Our group focused on how we can empower passengers to plan their journeys in unmanned stations in under just five hours. Our solution was presented to the CEO of Edgelabs and Metro Trains with positive feedback.
I also took part in LIVE Projects hosted by Intersective in RMIT University. The LIVE Project facilitator assigned me in a group of five to work as a project assistant with the task to provide the company BrainSTEM with funding programs to support for the development of their innovation programs. We delivered 14 funding programs to the client and received positive feedback. Following this experience, I participated in the next LIVE Project cohort as a volunteer to help new participants gained insights to what is expected of the LIVE Projects. As a result of this volunteer, I made new connections with several participants. This experience has helped me developed the communication skills needed to help new participants in the next Paddl Games Challenge.
In RMIT University, I also volunteered as a peer mentor in which I assisted students with designing a conceptual bridge as part of their assignment for the semester. I also volunteered in drop-in sessions as a mentor to assist students in difficulties in their subjects. I also worked as a private tutor to tutor a student from a surveying background. These experiences made me develop as a person who enjoys helping people and sharing my experience with everyone.
