Progressing through life, the concept of working with financial data had a strong influence on me and aided in my decision to pursue a career that involves obtaining statistical information and facts form reliable sources to generate advice which would improve business performance.
I am currently undertaking my undergraduate studies at RMIT University. As a student who is majoring in Accountancy and a minor in Business Information Systems, my passion for these fields is reflected through my studies. As an eager and motivated second year student I have thoroughly enjoyed theoretical aspect of university studies.
My experiences at Essendon Football Club and Chartered Accountants have provided me with valuable understanding of large organisational processes. Furthermore, through specific tasks I have acquired diligence and interpersonal skills as I have completed multiple projects.
In addition, my extra-curricular activity experience is extensive and broad. This has stemmed from enjoying new experiences and the challenge of successfully fulfilling my role in different environments. These activities range from being a Student Ambassador and Student Advisory Learning Mentor at RMIT University and Director of Events at RMIT Business Students Association, tutoring fellow students at SLAMS, playing football at representative level and travelling extensively to learn the broad aspect of cultural and geographical impact of financial decisions of individuals and organisations.
Lastly, the leadership, teamwork and emotional intelligence that have come from undertaking these diverse activities will translate well into a workplace and fast track my development. This, and my intense enthusiasm and passion will be a great asset to any organisation willing to offer employment opportunities.
