About Matteo
I am a Marketing Management student at Bocconi University (Milan) and currently I study International Business at the University of Melbourne as a Double Degree student.
My undergraduate degree in Economics and Finance helped me to develop a highly analytical mindset, along with an in-depth understanding of how a financial system works.
A rising keen interest in entrepreneurship and business over the years has convinced me to start studying Marketing Management and International Business at a graduate level, hence to shift my focus toward a more corporate-based field of study.
Along with outstanding academic performance, my career as a student has displayed the ever-present component of a strong global mindset. The life-changing experience in California as an exchange student taught me how to live and thrive in a culturally diverse environment by testing my flexibility and sense of adaptation on a daily base. From that moment onward, I have taken advantage of all international opportunities provided by my university to live my consuming passion for the world out there, such as job interviews around Europe and, above all, the Double Degree program in Australia.
As a result of lifelong curiosity and excitement of challenges, I have a variety of interests and hobbies. First of all, I have been fascinated by physics and astronomy since I was a child, and reading books about what lies behind the starlight or the magic of a rainbow allowed me to look at the world from a radically different perspective.
Moreover, I love playing piano and drawing, although I have never attended music or art classes. In fact, I have taught myself how to perform well in different activities, and this shows that when I set a new goal I always leverage on my hard work, perseverance, and detail-oriented strengths in order to succeed.
Finally, I have recently raised interest in the war on terror and the different policies implemented by the global coalition to counter ISIL and disrupt its financial power. In fact, my undergraduate thesis is a comprehensive analysis of how terrorist organizations have risen, thrived, and evolved over the last century, with a focus on the fundraising strategies implemented by Daesh-inspired new terrorist groups around the world.
