About Disha

I am currently enrolled at the Master of Communication course at RMIT; however, I have previously completed my first Master in Marketing from the University of Nottingham, UK. Following that, I worked with Zomato (you may know them as Urban Spoon) for 2 years from early 2015 to early 2017. I joined them as Sales Manager and during my time there, I was twice promoted due to my ability to achieve m targets month on month. My latest role was that of Key Accounts Manager. I oversaw AdSales as well as client servicing for over 45 clients on my portfolio at any given time. My duties and responsibilities extended to end-to-end client servicing, right from on-boarding, to campaign management as well as post campaign servicing, for all my clients within the restaurant and hospitality industry.
My time at Zomato strengthened my Client Servicing and Relationship Management skills, and re-affirmed my passion for working in fast-paced, client facing environments. This urged me to enroll at RMIT to study Communication at a master’s level, so that I can learn from the best faculty in the field of communications, and put my theoretical knowledge to practice in a related field of work.
I am also certified in Effective Speech and Communication from the Trinity College of London. Having lived in 3 countries, I am able to adapt to new surroundings rather quickly, and have become a quick learner, able to grasp new concepts and techniques swiftly
