I am currently working at Kmart Marrickville, as a Retail Assistant. I have been in this position for four years. This position has allowed me to gain experience in customer service by respecting and catering to individual customer’s needs. The position involves a daily procedure of accounting, providing information to customers about products and services, such as dealing with customer complaints. As being part of the team, I occasionally help other Kmart departments with their duties in other areas of the store if staff is shorthanded, for instance, in Apparel and General Merchandise departments.
Within the previous school community, I was involved in Duke of Edinburgh and Cyber Seniors where I taught the elderly to use technology, for instance, social media and computer programs.
