I'm currently in my first year undertaking a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance and Economics; and undertaking Accounting and Business Analytics electives.
Education experience: 2017-Present Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Economics) 2011-2016 Trafalgar High School
I pride myself in excelling in all of my commitments. I have consistently achieved excellent academic results. I have a distinction average in Accounting and Management, and I'm awaiting the release of Finance, Business Analytics and Economics results. I received an Outstanding Academic Achievement award in VCE 2016, along with the DUX award in Physical Education. I have also received multiple honour awards throughout high school.
I have gained invaluable industrial experience in the accounting services industry after being selected from a very competitive pool of talented students to participate in an 'Accounting careers insider' program held at Pitcher Partners. I had the opportunity to connect with so many influential and inspiring industry leaders, which really enhanced my networking skills. I worked alongside professionals in the Private Clients accounting division enabling a more insightful understanding of accounting practises. Additionally, I have been invited to a number of networking events where I was able to speak with a range of business professionals including those from the accounting, financial, recruitment and technology industry.
I am an excellent leader and always aim to inspire and motivate others. I am part of the Deakin Commerce Society in which I hold the position of the Director of Accounting. This role focuses on liaising with business professionals to obtain sponsorship and develop close relationships through working one on one with them. I'm also responsible for running academic and social events for Commerce students throughout the year. Additional leadership experience include multiple form captain roles throughout high school and vice captain of the women's Olympians soccer team.
I participate in the annual Traralgon community fun run in order to raise funds for charity and support a great cause.
