About Tom

I am a final year Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Laws student at Deakin University. I am majoring in accounting and will graduate in 2018 with Double Honours. Throughout my studies, I have been selected to undertake semesters abroad in Denmark (Aarhus University) and The Netherlands (Utrecht University).
During my studies, I have looked to gain insightful work experience across the legal, financial and accounting industries. Throughout 2017, I was one of two Deakin Law School students to be selected to work within the Corporate Legal Group at ANZ Bank. During 2016 and 2015, I undertook internships within the Corporate Advisory service lines at two of Australia’s premium professional services organisations, Pitchers Partners and Grant Thornton. Prior to this, I worked as a Lifeguard Supervisor at Victoria’s busiest aquatic centre, the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre.
My dedication and commitment has also led me receive an Institute of Public Accountants Scholarship Award for accounting excellence, and a Deakin University Global Citizenship Award. I have also aimed to utilise the skills I have learnt during university to assist the community, with this exemplified through my volunteer legal aid work at Social Security Rights Victoria.
Outside of my work and studies, I am a keen footballer. I am currently Vice-Captain of the Caulfield Grammarians Football Club and have represented Victoria at both the Under 23 and Under 19 level.
