About Delzeen
Hi! I'm Delzeen. I am a recent graduate who completed the Master of Information Technology (Business Information Systems and Data Analytics) at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). I have interned as a Business Analyst for a not-for-profit organisation and assisted them to deliver an online volunteer management system. I'm driven by a deep desire to contribute to businesses that make meaningful products and change lives, I aspire to come up with innovative business solutions that have a positive impact on society. I love nature, learning new things, languages, innovations and health science facts, and volunteering.
ACCOMPLISHMENT: 1st prize winner at ABC Scratch Challenge
The ABC Scratch Space Challenge by Paddl Games engages talent in a team competition that surfaces new ideas and solutions to real business issues. I was one of 60 students selected in a highly competitive process to participate in an innovation challenge for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. We were mentored by ABC staff - Rachael Hammond (ABC and iview Brand Manager) and Michael Vincent (Expert Journalist) both with decades of experience and expert knowledge. The challenge addressed a real commercial issue for the ABC: to develop digital ideas and solutions to drive ABC's future growth. Achievements: • Learnt and applied design thinking to develop product ideas leveraging digital technologies that address ABC's commercial challenge • Developed the final pitch in collaboration with other team members • Presented our product idea to a panel of judges including ABC executives and industry leaders • Checked the feasability and benefits for ABC • Placed first in a competitive pitching process
PROJECTS Insurance policy – data analysis and exploration August 2019 – September 2019 University of Technology Sydney – Fundamentals of Data Analytics Analysed a real-world dataset containing activity records of 2,000 customers in purchasing Insurance policies from a client with 98% accuracy.
Global Trade Accelerator Program Nov 2018 – Dec 2018 Worked in collaboration with a team of UTS students from diverse cultural/professional/study backgrounds to produce market research for an NSW exporter in a two-week program sponsored by NSW Department of Industry. Used research skills to research target markets and collect data, structured business analytical skills to interpret collected data, and written communication skills to produce a report, sent to client upon program completion.
Interchange (Case competition/ Hackathon) July 2019 – August 2019 Interchange is an exclusive 4-day program that leads international students through an action-packed learning journey. I worked with a team of 6 students from different backgrounds, universities and cultures. We had to develop a video pitch of our business model and product/service. The skills covered during the 3 days were networking, communication, innovation and leadership.
