I am a recent graduate from The University of Melbourne having completed a Bachelor of Commerce focusing on Econometrics with a concurrent Diploma in Mathematics specialising in Statistics and Stochastic Processes. I am self-taught in programming and computer science skills and am interested in working in the data analysis space.
I believe that my background gives me a unique combination of skills that provides both a commerce background as well as developed and varied analytical skills. In addition, the computer science skills I have are particularly relevant in today's world where efficient implementation of these analytics is paramount.
I had the unique opportunity to apply these skills and gain experience during my internship at National University Hospital in Singapore where I worked on a research project. This involved extensive data cleaning and some basic data modelling with an EMR database. During this time, I innovated by developing a webscraping tool to fill over 200,000 rows of data.
