Marketing Intern

I have been volunteering for four years with Neighbourhood Connect, a not-for-profit fostering an Australia-wide network of neighbourhood groups. I began as a Promotion Officer, which involved contacting community groups regarding them joining and prompting Neighbourhood Connect. Consequently, I grew the network in Queensland by recruiting new groups and volunteers. After a year, I took on greater responsibility managing a small team promoting Neighbourhood Connect as the Promotion Manager. Currently, I am the Recruitment Coordinator, which involves drafting, posting, and maintaining our volunteer roles online.

I recently worked as a Project Support Officer at SDS Training, a registered training organisation in the Vocational Education and Training industry, which operates across Queensland. I was part of the Resource and Learning Development Team, which primarily involved transferring text resources to an e-learning format. Additionally, I supported the Resource and Learning Development Team to ensure resources remained valid, relevant, and compliant. Accordingly, I have proactive experience assisting to deliver nationally accredited training and assessment.

I have volunteered as a Media Officer for Householders’ Options to Protect the Environment. My responsibilities included researching and drafting media releases promoting HOPE’s interests and activities. A key accomplishment from my time with HOPE was several media releases I wrote resulting in media outlets interviewing HOPE’s President.
