Phoenix, a company that I had been happily volunteering with for previous innovation/business events they have managed, called me up one day asking if I would take the role of Stage Manager at the Digital Marketers Australia conference. I said 'yes'. I loved putting time and energy into it. I liaised closely with high-profile speakers and managed the team - they really made the event run smoothly.
