Overseeing the School Holidays business unit, I looked after an internal innovation strategy, reporting to the CEO. Developed a pilot for re-imagining the school holidays childcare model, introducing Design Thinking for children nationally. Managed BAU strategy across 200+ sites delivering childcare in school holiday settings. Developed an employee engagement strategy, partnerships and developed access to a new customer segment for the business.

The Tenants' Union of NSW is the main resourcing body for Tenants Advice and Advocacy Services (TAASs) and a community legal centre specialising in NSW residential tenancies law. We exist to create a society in which people in New South Wales can access safe, secure and affordable rental housing.

The Tenants' Union works to promote the interests of Aboriginal tenants; boarders, lodgers and other marginal tenants; private rental tenants; public and community housing tenants; and land lease community residents.

My role consists of Making Housing Affordable campaign support, including community organising, events support, and media coordination. I am also involved with the Renters Rights campaign for pet ownership in NSW.

Oversaw business functions at all levels. Built a team of 12, and managed into a board of directors. Managed relationships across funders, philanthropy and project managed grant funded work at both the state and federal level. Delivered national strategy across growth, branding and demand generation to develop Australia's largest network of coding clubs for kids across the country with a focus on diversity, inclusion and leveraging the support of Australia's innovation and IT sectors as volunteers and supporters.

I grew up in San Francisco, and I've always been a curious and ambitious learner. I began my career in the NFP sector working in urban education programs focused on literacy for k-12 students. I shifted into edu-tech and learning innovation thinking about the next generation of learning and skills for young people. I've taken my ideas and my passion for developing a love for life long learning all around the world, and some of my biggest achievements include setting two world records with learners all across the globe, and speaking about my ideas and passion at events like TedXSydney and as keynote of PyCon education. I care about equity in education, tech for purpose and growing big ideas from 0 to 100. 

The Awesome Foundation is a global network of regular people funding awesome ideas through mini grants in their community or field of interest. I am a part of the Sydney chapter, where we fund and support ideas that make Sydney more Awesome. Through no strings attached funding, we give fledgling ideas that are quirky, wonderful and diverse an opportunity to thrive in our community.

UNSW Founders program is an initiative designed to give students and community opportunities to develop and drive innovation, social change and foster curiosity in today and tomorrow's leaders. Across a variety of programs (Peter Farrell Cup, Founders10x and others) I have given my time as a mentor to support budding and ambitious founders develop their early stage ideas. I support for purpose and edutech ideas, and e-learning products.
