My main roles during my internship were to assist the Finance Department on multiple high-detailed tasks and contribute to the completion of monthly reconciliations of general ledger and bank accounts. I was also responsible to prepare monthly journals to adjust for accruals at end of month, perform creditor and debtor payment run using Metro's internal system and take part in other finance tasks.
