About Kim
Hello! My name is Kim and I’ve recently completed my Bachelor of Business (Marketing) and am ready to explore more of what the Marketing and startup world is all about. I'm an avid foodie, always on the hunt for great food, and love the beach - rain, hail or shine, it's safe to say you'll find me doing at one of these things!
My recent marketing experience has been here at Paddl Co. as part of their in house marketing team. I worked on a range of marketing campaigns, managed social media accounts, helped execute Paddl Games events and assisted in many other forms. Prior to this, I worked with an owner-operator of a small business; helping to increase brand awareness and grow their client base. I also managed social media channels here, made website improvements, designed email marketing campaigns and created graphics and content for daily posts. What I loved most across these roles has been the autonomy and being able really cultivate the relationship between business and their various users.
My management experience comes from my strong background in hospitality. I’ve worked in cafes and events for over 9 years (both as a manager and as a colleague) but have stepped back in recent years to focus on my new career path. I have strong people skills and a solid understanding of what it takes to be a good leader. Teamwork, cultivating the right work culture and strong communication skills are also important attributes that define my work ethic.
Aside from formal work experience, I’ve been involved in a number of side-hustle activities, which have helped me develop a wide variety of skills. I created a short film which I'm very proud of, I've participated in a number of hackathon and hackathon-like events - and I'm a big advocate of the Paddl Games Challenges! These experiences have been enjoyable because they've allowed me to work collaboratively and to a deadline. I find the research and the way of thinking behind the ideas just as rewarding as the development of the concepts.
